Arkansas vs SEMO live score updates in Fayetteville Regional
Ninth Inning
- FINAL: Arkansas 17, SEMO 9. The Hogs erupt for a season-high six home runs to save a shaky pitching performance. Arkansas will face either Kansas State or Louisiana Tech tomorrow at 8 p.m. in the winners bracket.
Eighth Inning
- Hudson White smokes his second home run of the day, this time with a three-run shot to left, and the Hogs lead 17-9 heading to the ninth. Jake Faherty is coming out of the bullpen for the Hogs.
Seventh Inning
- Arkansas extends its lead to 14-9 thanks to a sacrifice fly from Hudson White and another three-run homer off the bat of Ben McLaughlin.
- SEMO scores a run to make it 10-9, but the Redhawks stranded runners at first and second. Arkansas might survive this game, but the bullpen availability behind Hagen Smith tomorrow looks dire.
Fifth Inning
- Arkansas retakes the lead thanks to back-to-back home runs from Wehiwa Aloy and Kendall Diggs. That was Diggs' first home run since March 28 against LSU. It's 10-8 Arkansas, and freshman Gabe Gaeckle is coming out of the bullpen for the Hogs.
- Christian Foutch walked a pair of batters and SEMO got runners on the corners, but a nice defensive play by Peyton Stovall ends the inning. Still, it's a brand new ball game with the Hogs and Redhawks tied 8-8.
- It's a tie game. SEMO already has four runs in the inning, with a three-run homer from Josh Cameron making it 8-8 with one out. Christian Foutch is coming out of the bullpen to replace Will McEntire, and there's a sense of tension inside Baum-Walker Stadium.
Fourth Inning
- Arkansas got a runner to second with no outs, but the top of the lineup stranded him there. It's still 8-4 Hogs as we head to the fifth.
- Will McEntire sets the Redhawks down 1-2-3. Arkansas just set a single-season program record with 675 strikeouts as a team. The Hogs lead SEMO 8-4.
Third Inning
- It's three up, three down for Arkansas in the third. Hogs need a shutdown inning from Will McEntire here.
- SEMO strikes for four runs and chases Mason Molina out of the game. Molina walked three batters in the inning and gave up a three-run homer to Ben Palmer. Will McEntire came out of the bullpen and stranded a runner at third. The Arkansas lead is 8-4 as we head to the bottom half.
Second Inning
- Arkansas scores seven runs, including five with two outs, and the Hogs lead SEMO 8-0. Ben McLaughlin hit a three-run homer and Jared Sprague-Lott had a two-run single in the inning. This is a dream start for the Hogs.
- Mason Molina sets SEMO down 1-2-3 in the second. The lefty looks terrific through two innings. Arkansas leads 1-0.
First Inning
- Hudson White lifted a high fly ball to right field that just kept carrying and eventually exited the park for a solo home run. Arkansas leads SEMO 1-0, and giving Mason Molina some early run support is a great sign for the Hogs.
- Mason Molina started the game with a four-pitch walk, but he bounced back to retire the next three hitters with a pair of strikeouts. The Hogs are coming to bat in the bottom half.
Pregame
- Good afternoon from Baum-Walker Stadium. Arkansas and SEMO are about an hour from first pitch. Starting lineups will be posted below as they come in. Kendall Diggs is no longer hitting leadoff, and Ty Wilmsmeyer is back as the starting center fielder for the Hogs.
