In this position, you will work with a team of environmental & historic preservation (EHP) specialists conducting historic preservation compliance reviews, providing technical assistance to States, Tribes, and Local (SL TT) Governments for the Public Assistance Grant Program (PA), the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and other project grants as needed. This position will primarily focus on evaluating buildings and structures for eligibility on the National Register of Historic Places, assessing effects and resolving adverse effects to historic buildings and structures, coordinating with the other groups within the EHP branch and Mitigation Division, advising applicants on historic preservation compliance needs, writing consultation letters to regulatory offices (State Historic Preservation Office, etc.), writing Memorandums of Agreement and other duties as needed.This role will be within the Mitigation Division, Environmental Planning and Historic Preservation Branch in Albany, NY.
