Rocket League has shared information on all its Season 16 content, ranging from new BMW cars to spooky car accessories, scheduled to drop on September 4. The theme for the forthcoming Rocket League season revolves around legendary beasts, such as Sasquatch, Chupacabra, and the like.
With each new season, developer Psyonix adds a new coat of paint to its free-to-play vehicular soccer game. Whether it be the flamboyant comic-based aura of Season 6 or the laidback energy of Season 10, Rocket League has featured seasonal cars and arenas befitting various kinds of mood throughout the past. In the ongoing season, the highly stylized punk theme is prevalent across most of Rocket League content. However, the next season looks ready to shake things up considerably with horror folklore entrenched in its newly revealed content.

Through the forthcoming content, Rocket League studio Psyonix is set to bring a gloomy and dark vibe to the game alongside items that pay homage to mythical beasts mentioned in popular folklore. The new season introduces the Drift Woods arena, where matches take place at dusk in the middle of the wilderness. It is also set to add two new cars to Rocket League's lineup, BMW 1 Series and BMW 1 Series RLE, which can be decorated in spooky gear like Sasquatch Print Wheels and Mothman Decal. Devs will also incorporate an improved post-demolition camera in the game that tracks the path from where the player's car was destroyed all the way to their respawn location. The next season is planned to run until December 4, 2024.
More Content Coming to Rocket League Season 16
There are several more horror-themed car attachments making their way onto Rocket League via the Rocket Pass tiers. From having a beast posing on the car's roof with the Chupacabra Topper to sporting a winged creature on the antenna with the Mothman Antenna, over 70 tiers of rewards provide lots of customization across Season 16's free and Premium passes. Tournament rewards also unlock special in-game items like the Rocketmancer Goal Explosion, one of the newest entries to Rocket League's goal explosions list. Apart from these changes, new competitive tournament slots have also been added for all regions, with a new 3AM UTC (11PM ET) window for North American players valid through the week.
Given that October is right around the corner, Rocket League Season 16 looks to be arriving just in time to deliver the Halloween spookiness with its beast-inspired rewards. With so much new stuff to unlock, fans should have plenty of incentive to spend more time playing Rocket League again in the coming days.
