Hopefully this is another big boost for Yorkshire, which is now home to 2 of the UK's 3 Investment Zones, in both South and now West Yorkshire (12 have been promised across the UK over the next 5 years). Let's hope the tax breaks and other initiatives offered by Government will attract investment and support businesses, and lead to addressing the economic in-balance between London and the North. Whether it can help address the longer term challenges of low productivity in the UK will remain to be seen but hopefully this is more good news for the region 👍 New Investment Zone could create more than 2,500 jobs over five years | TheBusinessDesk.com

We're approaching that time of the month where commission calculations need to be completed and approved for payroll. What’s the best thing about being a R2R? I think the most interesting part of the job is having such clear visibility of the highest growth areas of my niche. A lot of Tech recruiters work at a company with one core area and even those that do work at a larger brands don’t always have the most efficient relationships with their wider team. When it comes to finding out what areas have the most consistent top billers, often people are so focused on their own desk they don’t have a finger on the pulse. I think that's pretty crucial information if you really want to get the best out of yourself. Fortunately over the course of the year last year I mapped everyone I spoke to into a spreadsheet that compares vertical focus and billings. If you’re interested to know what area came out on top and what the numbers suggest could be the biggest growth area of 2024 then reach out for an off the record chat.
