From what I gather, they seem to be running all “forced air” devices with the same programming, regardless of what energy source you have selected, so it is a compromise/safety thing, because they have programmed it wrong. They should be running forced air with a fossil fuel source differently than forced air with an electrical source, because running an electrical resistive heat strip without the fan will cause the heat strip to burn out / possibly catch fire. I would love to be able to make my fan turn on only after the furnace has been ignited. Right now with a normal set up the fan turns on right when the furnace turns on but the flame has not had a chance to light. With this happening it just pushes cold air for about 30-60 sec. the only work around I have found is to disconnect the G wire which allows for the fan to wait for the furnace to ignite but now I won’t be able to turn fan on independently if I want. You can just set your furnace up as a radiator during setup. then wyze stops trying to control the fan completely, which is the correct thing for it to do. A delay is not the proper procedure, because the blower fan speed is often different for furnace mode (W) and fan mode (G) Running both W and G at the same time on a fossil fuel powered furnace will give inconsistent fan speeds. Delaying the fan is not the solution to this, Not activating the G wire at all when W is powered is the solution.

Speadie, I did not know that you found another work-around. This is great, and users can get separate fan control and the fan-cycle feature back. Perhaps you can give a step-by-step for everyone. FYI - I took the updates and did all of these steps and still didn’t have the “by furnace” option. I chose LP and forced air and never got the option. Deleted the thermostat and added it back as Gas and forced air and now I have the option. Going to leave it like this as Natural Gas and LP should function the same.
